I am a freelance full-stack developer and web designer.
My foundations are scientific: I completed a PhD in the genetics of schizophrenia in 2016, then spent six years building data-science web applications with AstraZeneca as a client. That work shaped how I think about robust systems, clear interfaces, careful data, and software that makes complex ideas easier to use.
My design instinct comes from JosephlovesJohn, my singer-songwriter and composer project. I design the artwork, websites, and e-commerce around that work myself, so I understand how identity, content, and commerce need to feel joined up.
My latest project is Bulmer Woodcraft, a woodworking shop built around turning scrap wood into lovely things. From brand design to website build, shop, merch, and scaling, I can help turn a business or creative project into something useful, polished, and ready to grow.
